CM Nitish Kumar inspected the construction work of the proposed link road from Patna Sahib Railway Station to Patna Ghat under JP Ganga Path. He instructed the officials to expedite the construction works. The Chief Minister stopped near O.P. Shah Community Hall and Patna Ghat in Patna City to take stock of the construction status and get detailed information of the project through site map.
During the inspection, CM Nitish informed that this link road will start from Patna Sahib station and connect to JP Ganga Path via Patna Ghat. It will ease the congestion on Ashok Rajpath and Maroofganj Mandi area and will facilitate the linking of JP Ganga Path with NH-30 (Patna-Bakhtiyarpur Road).
The total length of the route is 1.5 km and is being constructed on land swap basis between State Government and Railways at a cost of Rs. 52.54 crore. A flyover is also proposed to be constructed on Ashok Rajpath on the proposed route. Apart from this, two-lane service roads, street lights, road marking etc. are also being arranged on both sides of the road.
On this occasion, Principal Secretary Raji P. Shrivastava, Director Bhupinder Singh, Executive Director PSCFC Devinder Singh, Chairman Backfinco Harjinder Singh Thekedar, Joint secretary-cum-director SC sub plan Raj Bahadur Singh, Under Secretary Manohar Lal Bangarh, Deputy Director Rupinderpal Singh, Joint Director Sushil Kumar, DCFA Avtar Singh, Deputy Director Sarbjinder Singh Randhawa, Deputy Director Parminder Singh Gill among several other officers were also present.
