Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath congratulated the newly selected candidates of the Uttar Pradesh Police Telecommunication Department and said that only on the strength of youth energy can we take forward the vision of a developed India and the resolve of a capable Uttar Pradesh. This is the dream of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.All of you have become part of the country’s largest civil police force. You have to discharge your duties with as much promptness and sincerity as the state government has recruited you in an honest and transparent manner.
The Chief Minister was speaking after distributing appointment letters to 1,494 newly selected Assistant Operators / Workshop Staff of Uttar Pradesh Police Telecommunication Department under Mission Rozgar at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan here today.
CM Yogi Adityanath said that on the call of the Prime Minister, in 2017, the state government took forward the work of strengthening the Police Recruitment Board to carry out the 2 police recruitment process in a transparent manner. The state government decided that the recruitment process should be carried out honestly. If any recruitment board or commission plays with the future of the youth, then its responsibility will be fixed. Those who interfere in the recruitment process will also have to answer.
The Chief Minister said that as a result of the steps taken by the state government, Uttar Pradesh is today among the leading states in the country in terms of maximum police recruitment and government jobs. Uttar Pradesh Police Force can be the only police force of the civil police in the country, which has completed the recruitment of more than 2 lakh 17 thousand 500 police personnel through a fair and transparent process. In many states, the entire police force is not even one-fourth of what has been recruited in the last eight years. At present, the recruitment process of 30 thousand additional police forces in the state is being carried forward. The state government has increased the training capacity of the police force by setting up new training institutes. Recently, the recruitment process of 60,244 Police Reserves has been completed. Training of all these police personnel is being done efficiently in the state simultaneously.
CM Yogisaid that the infrastructure facilities of the state police have also been increased. Highrise barracks have been constructed in the districts and residential facilities have been provided for the police force. Before 2017, there were no police lines in 10 districts of the state. Police forces have been deployed in these districts.
The process of setting up the police headquarters was taken forward. There have been major reforms in the police force.
7 New Police Commissionerate was formed. Uttar Pradesh Police has established itself as a model. The entire country is accepting the comprehensive reforms in the law and order of the state. In the divine and grand event of Mahakumbh-2025, the behaviour, readiness and sensitivity of the Uttar Pradesh Police has been an important contribution.
The Chief Minister said that the state government has provided government jobs to 8.5 lakh youth so far. The perception of the state changed and a better environment of security was created, so good investment was also received here. Through investment, new employment opportunities were provided to about 2 crore youth in their own district. With the continuous progress of the government, the recruitment process through outsourcing got a new direction.
3 The Chief Minister said that with the efforts of the state government, the state has established itself as the most emerging economy of the country. The government should take strict measures on this. We had to move forward with strength. A policy of zero tolerance towards corruption and the corrupt had to be adopted. With the vision of a developed India in the Amrit Kaal of Independence, the country is poised to become the third largest economy in the world. The police force will have to become more sensitive to make the common citizen feel free. Strict action should be taken against criminals and criminals.
CM Yogi said that we cannot present any good model of development by depriving half the population. Women’s participation is a must.
The state government has already decided to appoint at least 20 per cent women in the police force. In the recruitment of 1,494 personnel of Telecom Police, the target of 20% has been achieved. In the coming time, the target of 20 per cent will have to be increased further. Telecom Police had performed well during Mahakumbh 2025. Telecom is the medium of police communication. Technology is an important part of any force. In a state like Uttar Pradesh, the use of technology and better exchange of information is very important.
CM Yogi said that arrangements are being made to provide 20 percent horizontal reservation in the Uttar Pradesh Police to the Agniveers who protect the borders of the country. Through this, we will get trained manpower.
