Roadshow in Bhavnagar to Showcase Atmanirbhar Bharat, Op Sindoor, and GST Relief
PM Modi’s visit will commence in Bhavnagar, where he will participate in a 1.5 km-long roadshow starting at 10 AM. Themed around Operation Sindoor, Atmanirbhar Bharat, and the recently announced GST relief measures, the roadshow is expected to witness participation from over 30,000 people, reflecting the public’s growing enthusiasm for the government’s reforms and national security initiatives.
Following the roadshow, PM Narendra Modi will address a mega public gathering at Jawahar Maidan, where he is expected to outline the government’s vision for economic growth, infrastructure development, and heritage conservation.
Shipping & Maritime Projects Worth ₹1.5 Lakh Crore to Be Launched
In a major push to India’s shipping and maritime sector, PM Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone and inaugurate projects totaling a whopping ₹1.5 lakh crore during the Bhavnagar leg of his visit. These initiatives are expected to significantly boost port capacity, logistics efficiency, and coastal infrastructure across the state.
Additionally, Bhavnagar city will receive development projects worth over ₹100 crore, including urban beautification, transportation upgrades, and public utility enhancements.
Review of National Maritime Heritage Complex in Lothal- Narendra Modi
At around 1 PM, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi will travel to Lothal, an ancient port city located in Ahmedabad district, to review the progress of the National Maritime Heritage Complex (NMHC) – a flagship project aligned with his vision of “Virasat Bhi, Vikas Bhi” (Heritage as well as Development).

The NMHC, being developed at a cost of ₹4,500 crore, aims to become a world-class maritime museum and cultural center, highlighting India’s seafaring legacy that dates back to the Indus Valley Civilization.
PM Narendra Modi will inspect the completed portions of the complex, interact with project stakeholders, and hold a detailed review meeting with officials to assess the remaining work.
Lothal – From Ancient Port to Global Cultural Destination
Lothal, once a thriving trade hub over 4,000 years ago, is being transformed into a global tourist and educational destination through the NMHC. The initiative supports the Prime Minister’s “Panch Pran” (Five Pledges), especially the goal of preserving India’s ancient heritage through modern institutions.
The NMHC will feature interactive galleries, digital installations, maritime artefacts, and replicas of ancient ships — making it a unique center that blends history, technology, and culture.
GST Relief and Economic Impact
The visit also comes on the heels of major GST reforms announced by the Central Government, aimed at simplifying the tax structure and providing relief to consumers and MSMEs. CM Yogi Adityanath recently referred to the new GST structure as a “Diwali gift” for the public, and PM Modi is expected to elaborate on its benefits during his address.
