India will soon offer free E-tourist and group tourist visas for Russian citizens, processed within 30 days, PM Modi announced after talks with President Putin.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday announced that India will soon roll out free E-tourist visas and group tourist visas for Russian citizens, processed within 30 days. The announcement came during a joint press briefing with Russian President Vladimir Putin following their bilateral meeting aimed at strengthening strategic, economic, and diplomatic ties.
PM Modi said that the move would significantly boost tourism between the two countries and make travel more convenient for Russian visitors.
“We will soon launch E-tourist visa and group tourist visa services for Russian citizens. These will be processed within 30 days and will be free of cost,” he said.
India–Russia Sign Vision 2030 to Boost Economic Cooperation
In a major development, India and Russia signed the Vision 2030 document, a comprehensive roadmap designed to accelerate long-term economic cooperation across multiple sectors.
PM Modi said the initiative would lay the foundation for new business opportunities, innovation partnerships and deeper investment engagement.
“To further economic cooperation, we have signed a Vision 2030 document. I am confident this platform will strengthen our business relations and open new avenues for co-production and co-innovation. Both countries are taking new steps to realise an FTA with the Eurasian Economic Union,” he added.
The leaders are also set to participate in the India–Russia Business Forum, expected to see expanded collaboration in energy, manufacturing, defence and technology.

PM Modi Calls for Global Unity Against Terrorism
Addressing concerns about global security, PM Modi reiterated India’s firm stance against terrorism and called for united global action.
He highlighted that India and Russia have consistently worked together in combating terrorism.
“India and Russia have long cooperated shoulder-to-shoulder in the fight against terrorism. Whether it is the terror attack in Pahalgam or the cowardly attack on Crocus City Hall, all such acts have the same roots. Terrorism is a direct attack on humanity, and global unity against it is our greatest strength,” the Prime Minister said.
Putin Expresses Gratitude to India
Russian President Vladimir Putin thanked President Droupadi Murmu, PM Modi, and the Indian people for their warm hospitality.
He noted the strong personal rapport shared with PM Modi and said both nations are committed to elevating their Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership.
“I thank President Droupadi Murmu, my dear friend PM Modi, and the people of India for the warm and hospitable welcome. Our talks have been very helpful for our partnership. PM Modi and I have established a close working dialogue, and we are personally overseeing the Russia–India relationship,” Putin stated.
