UP CM Yogi Adityanath urges legislative members to raise issues through dialogue, not disruption, as the 2026-27 budget and Economic Survey are presented from February 9-20.
Ahead of the Uttar Pradesh Budget Session, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath urged all legislative members to address their concerns through dialogue rather than disrupting proceedings. The budget session, scheduled from February 9 to February 20, will witness the presentation of the 2026-27 state budget along with the Uttar Pradesh Economic Survey, highlighting the state’s financial growth and developmental progress.
Speaking to the media on Monday, CM Yogi Adityanath emphasized that the Legislative Assembly is a cornerstone of democracy, and every member has the right to raise issues. However, he requested that discussions should be conducted in a constructive manner, ensuring smooth functioning of the house. “The government believes in solving problems through dialogue,” he stated.
Session to Begin with Governor’s Address
The Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath mentioned that following parliamentary traditions, the budget session will begin with the Governor’s address. “The session has two key agendas: first, the Governor’s address, and second, the general budget,” he added. He explained that the Governor’s speech documents the government’s achievements and upcoming plans, which are then presented to the public through the Assembly.

Budget and Economic Survey Presentation
The 2026-27 general budget will be presented on February 11, followed by detailed discussions. Immediately after the Governor’s address, the state’s economic survey will also be tabled. For the first time, a state government is taking the initiative to present a comprehensive report on its economic achievements, including increases in per capita income, employment generation, and effective financial management. The survey also highlights how Uttar Pradesh has been transformed from a deficit state to a revenue-surplus state over the past five years.
Government Open to Suggestions
CM Yogi Adityanath reiterated that the Assembly thrives on dialogue, not disruption. “The government is open to all valuable suggestions from members and is committed to taking necessary steps for the state’s welfare,” he said. He appealed to opposition members to avoid unnecessary noise and focus on constructive debates that benefit the citizens.
Boosting UP’s Development Through Budget Session
The Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath highlighted that over the past nine years, the Assembly has set new benchmarks for legislative proceedings. “This budget session will be a platform for members to raise important issues while also contributing to Uttar Pradesh’s accelerated development,” he said. CM Yogi urged all members to use the legislative platform to advance meaningful discussions on public welfare. The session was attended by Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya, Brajesh Pathak, Cabinet Minister Suresh Khanna, Independent Minister Rakesh Sachan, Rajya Minister Baldev Singh Aulakh, and other senior officials.
