International Gold and Silver Trends
Globally, spot gold prices fell slightly to $5,080 per ounce, while spot silver declined by 2% to $82.2 per ounce. The drop comes after strong US labor market data indicated that the Federal Reserve may not cut interest rates in the near future, putting pressure on precious metals.
Gold is currently 10.4% below its record high of $5,608.35 per ounce, while silver remains nearly 48% below its all-time high of $121.67 per ounce.
Earlier, between January 30 and February 2, gold witnessed consecutive sessions of sharp declines, triggered by US political developments and the appointment announcement for the Federal Reserve Chair by then-President Donald Trump.
Expert Insights and Investor Outlook
Despite the recent dip, experts suggest that gold and silver remain safe-haven assets amid geopolitical tensions and global economic uncertainty. So far this year, gold has gained 17.5%, making it a lucrative option for investors seeking portfolio diversification and long-term security.
Analysts recommend monitoring both domestic and international trends, as fluctuations in the US dollar, global inflation rates, and geopolitical issues continue to influence precious metal prices.
