Salman Khan made a rare comment about his time in jail during his appearance on the reality show Alliance, where he visited to support his brother Sohail Khan. Speaking candidly about his experience, Salman Khan described the overcrowded conditions inside prison and the challenges of sharing limited facilities with dozens of inmates. The actor, who has rarely spoken in detail about his time behind bars, offered viewers a glimpse into one of the most discussed chapters of his life.
Salman Khan recalls the living conditions inside jail
In the latest promo of Alliance, Salman Khan spoke about what he witnessed during his time in jail, recalling the cramped conditions inside the prison.
“Bohot saalon pehle jab jail gaya tha toh… we had bars in front of us. In such a small area, there are 50-60-70 people there… one bathroom, Indian-style commode, kabhi chhipkali hain and more than that st is filled all the way till here,”** Salman said, gesturing to indicate the level.
The actor made the remarks while interacting with contestants on the Prime Video reality show. Salman had entered the house to encourage Sohail Khan, who is currently competing on Alliance.
Although Salman Khan has addressed his legal cases on a few occasions in the past, he has seldom spoken about the day-to-day conditions inside jail, making his latest remarks particularly notable.
Salman Khan had earlier spoken about his previous jail experience
According to the report, Salman Khan has previously spent time in jail and judicial custody in connection with the 1998 blackbuck and chinkara poaching cases.
The actor had also shared his experience during a 2008 appearance on On the Couch with Koel. Looking back at that period, Salman said he remained calm despite the circumstances.
“I was blank. I was chilling. The only tension was the bathroom. That was it,” he had said.
Reflecting further on his time in custody, he added, “If someone wants to put you in, you go in quietly. When you know you haven’t done it, you go in head high.”
His latest comments on Alliance revisit that chapter from a different perspective, focusing on the living conditions inside jail rather than the legal proceedings linked to the case.
