Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath has described Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25-year journey in public office as a reflection of his vision for a stronger, self-reliant and developed India. He said the Prime Minister’s political journey has been marked by a focus on development, effective implementation and reaching government schemes to the last beneficiary.
Speaking at a press conference organised under the ‘Seva Sankalp’ campaign in Lucknow, CM Yogi outlined a month-long programme planned to mark Prime Minister Modi’s birthday and his 25 years in public life.
Seva Sankalp Campaign to Run Till October 17
According to CM Yogi Adityanath, the programmes will begin on September 17, Prime Minister Modi’s birthday, and continue until October 17. October 7 will mark 25 years since Modi began his tenure as Chief Minister of Gujarat in 2001.
CM Yogi Adityanath said the Uttar Pradesh government and the BJP organisation have jointly prepared a programme to recognise what he described as the Prime Minister’s “successful journey of 25 years.”
He highlighted the emphasis on implementation in Modi’s approach to governance, saying that policies and schemes have not remained limited to announcements but have been accompanied by efforts to ensure their execution and last-mile delivery.
Yogi Recalls Modi’s Gujarat Tenure
Recalling Narendra Modi’s years as Gujarat CM Yogi Adityanath referred to challenges the state faced before 2001, including drought, drinking water shortages and inadequate connectivity.
He credited Modi’s administration with completing pending work related to the Sardar Sarovar project and expanding drinking water facilities to villages. According to Yogi, these initiatives helped Gujarat emerge as a model associated with infrastructure, technology and development.
The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister said Modi’s Gujarat tenure demonstrated an approach in which welfare programmes were combined with infrastructure development and technological advancement.
PM Modi Gave India a New Development Vision: Yogi
CM Yogi Adityanath said Modi’s tenure as Prime Minister, which began on May 26, 2014, has brought a different development narrative for the country.
He pointed to welfare programmes, infrastructure projects and initiatives aimed at strengthening India’s economic position. Yogi said the Prime Minister has promoted the idea of a self-reliant and developed India while seeking to expand the country’s role in the global economy.
He further claimed that India has moved from being viewed as a relatively weak economy to becoming one of the world’s leading economic powers.

Global Recognition and G20 Presidency Highlighted
CM Yogi Adityanath also spoke about the international recognition received by Prime Minister Modi, stating that more than three dozen countries have honoured him with their highest civilian awards.
He cited India’s G20 presidency as another example of the country’s expanding global influence. Yogi recalled participating in some G20-related programmes and said representatives from participating countries had appreciated India’s organisation of the events.
According to him, the successful hosting of G20 meetings across different parts of India demonstrated the country’s organisational capabilities and growing international standing.
BRICS Summit Shows India’s Changing Global Role
Referring to the ongoing BRICS Summit in New Delhi, Yogi Adityanath said the event also reflects the emergence of what he called a “new India.”
He said India’s increasing participation in major international forums demonstrates its expanding role in global affairs. The Chief Minister linked such developments to the broader transformation that he believes has taken place during Modi’s tenure.
Ayodhya Ram Temple and Kumbh Cited as Heritage Milestones
CM Yogi Adityanath also highlighted cultural and religious developments while discussing the Prime Minister’s tenure. He referred to the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya and the organisation of the Kumbh as examples of efforts to promote India’s heritage.
He described the construction of the Ram temple at the birthplace of Lord Ram after a long wait as an important development and also pointed to the scale of the Kumbh as an example of India’s cultural and organisational strength.
Infrastructure Development Called Unprecedented
The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister also highlighted the expansion of infrastructure across the country. He described the development of highways and other major infrastructure projects as unprecedented.
CM Yogi Adityanath said the transformation in infrastructure has contributed to the broader development narrative associated with Prime Minister Modi’s 25-year public journey.
He maintained that the Seva Sankalp campaign would provide an opportunity to highlight the Prime Minister’s political and administrative journey while showcasing the development initiatives undertaken during his years in public office.
