Saurabh Bharadwaj demands public disclosure of Satya Niketan PG owners’ details and questions BJP and MCD over alleged unauthorized construction.
A political controversy has intensified over the ownership of paying guest accommodations in Delhi’s Satya Niketan. Aam Aadmi Party Delhi unit chief Saurabh Bharadwaj has questioned the silence over the alleged list of PG owners and demanded that details of those operating the properties be made public.
Speaking about the issue, Bharadwaj claimed that several lists naming Satya Niketan PG owners have been circulating among BJP workers and supporters. He alleged that some prominent BJP leaders and police officials are mentioned in these lists, and called for the ownership details to be officially disclosed.
Saurabh Bharadwaj Questions BJP’s Silence
Bharadwaj said BJP workers and supporters are aware of two key aspects of the controversy. According to him, one is the alleged presence of BJP leaders’ names in lists related to Satya Niketan PG properties, while the other concerns the role of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) in dealing with unauthorized construction.
The AAP leader argued that the MCD had significant authority over issues related to unauthorized construction and encroachments. He claimed that the civic body remained under BJP control for a long period and questioned why action was not taken earlier against alleged violations.
Demand to Make PG Ownership Details Public
Bharadwaj has repeatedly demanded that the ownership information of PG accommodations operating in Satya Niketan be placed in the public domain. He said making the details available would help establish who owns and operates the properties in the area.
According to Bharadwaj, the alleged lists circulating among political workers contain information about several Satya Niketan PG properties. He also claimed that some names associated with the properties belong to senior political figures and police officials.
These claims have been made by the AAP leader, while the ownership allegations would need to be established through official records.
Questions Over MCD and Unauthorized Construction
The AAP Delhi chief also raised questions about the responsibility of the MCD in cases involving unauthorized construction and land-related matters. He argued that the Delhi government did not have direct control over land matters or the authority to take action against unauthorized construction in the manner available to the civic body.
Bharadwaj further claimed that complaints regarding unauthorized construction in the area had also been brought to the attention of the Lieutenant Governor’s office, but alleged that no effective action followed.
AAP Seeks Transparency in Satya Niketan PG Case
Bharadwaj said the AAP has been demanding that the ownership details of all Satya Niketan PG properties be disclosed. According to him, transparency in ownership records would help residents and the public understand who is running the accommodations.
He also called upon the police and senior civic officials to examine the allegations and take action wherever violations are established.
Political Battle Intensifies
The issue has now become another point of confrontation between the AAP and BJP in Delhi. Bharadwaj alleged that political leaders linked to the BJP have been avoiding responsibility and questioned why the ownership list has not been officially released.
The AAP leader maintained that publishing the ownership records of Satya Niketan PG properties would bring greater clarity to the controversy and help determine responsibility for any unauthorized construction or other violations found in the area.
The allegations and claims made by Bharadwaj remain part of the ongoing political debate, and any specific ownership claims would require verification through official records and competent authorities.
