Diljit Dosanjh’s Delhi concert has received police clearance after a security review. The October 30 show is scheduled at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.
Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh’s upcoming Delhi concert has received police clearance following a review of security arrangements. Delhi Police reconsidered the matter after holding multiple meetings with the event organisers, who reportedly presented detailed plans to address the authorities’ concerns. The decision has eased uncertainty surrounding the show, which is scheduled for October 30 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium as part of the singer’s Aura India Tour 2026.
Why Was Diljit Dosanjh’s Delhi Concert Permission Delayed?
The Diljit Dosanjh Delhi concert faced uncertainty earlier this week after police reportedly withheld permission for the event. According to earlier reports, a communication from the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, South Delhi, addressed to ticketing platform BookMyShow cited security-related inputs, the festive season and other law and order responsibilities across the national capital.
With a large audience expected at the stadium, authorities were concerned about ensuring adequate security arrangements. The festive period also brings additional responsibilities for the police, making crowd management and public safety important considerations.
However, the situation changed after several discussions between police officials and the organisers. The organisers reportedly submitted detailed security plans, allowing the authorities to review the arrangements before granting permission.
Police Clearance Brings Relief to Fans
The latest decision means the Diljit Dosanjh Delhi concert has received the required police clearance following the security review. Officials told ANI that permission was granted after multiple meetings with the organisers and an assessment of their proposed arrangements.
The development is likely to bring relief to fans who were uncertain about whether the October 30 performance would go ahead as planned. However, further details about the security arrangements have not been made public.
Fans should follow official announcements from the organisers for any updates regarding entry procedures, venue guidelines and other event-related information.
