AAP leaders, including Isudan Gadhvi and Gopal Italia, celebrate the birthday of imprisoned farmer leader Raju Karpada in Ahmedabad, highlighting his courage and dedication to Gujarat farmers’ rights.

The birthday of Raju Karpada, head of the AAP Farmers’ Cell, who has been imprisoned for over 90 days, was celebrated with enthusiasm at the AAP state office in Ahmedabad on Wednesday. Senior party leaders, including AAP Gujarat President Isudan Gadhvi and Visavadar MLA Gopal Italia, along with other party workers, participated in the event by cutting a cake in honor of Raju Karpada.

The celebration marks a gesture of solidarity from the Aam Aadmi Party towards Karpada, who has been leading the fight against injustices faced by farmers in Gujarat. Despite being behind bars, the party organized events across the state to commemorate his birthday and recognize his courage and dedication.

Speaking at the event, Isudan Gadhvi said, “Today we are celebrating the birthday of our family member, Raju Karpada, who has been jailed for fighting for the rights of farmers. Though he cannot be with us physically, the AAP family stands united in honoring him today. We pray for his strength to continue fighting for farmers, the underprivileged, and laborers.”

Gopal Italia added, “Usually, the celebration of a family member’s birthday loses its charm when they are in prison. But Raju Karpada has bravely fought for Gujarat’s farmers and has been imprisoned for his struggle. Today, the entire AAP proudly celebrates his courage and commitment.”

Raju Karpada, along with other farmer leaders such as Praveen Ram, was jailed after raising his voice against the “Kadda Pratha” in Haddad, Botad, following clashes between farmers and police in October last year.

The Aam Aadmi Party’s tribute highlights their commitment to supporting farmer leaders and advocating for the rights of agricultural communities across Gujarat.
