In addition to the rail line expansion, an elevated highway is proposed from Derabassi to Zirakpur bypass, which will further ease traffic and provide better integration between road and rail transport in the region. Officials believe that the combination of the new tracks and the elevated highway will significantly improve the commuting experience for thousands of daily travelers.
