Arvind Kejriwal backs the student protest, says Metro station closures won’t stop youth from joining demonstrations over the alleged NEET paper leak.
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal has voiced strong support for the ongoing student protest over the alleged NEET examination paper leak, stating that shutting down Metro stations will not stop young people from joining the movement.
Speaking at a joint press conference with Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray, Arvind Kejriwal said the government’s attempt to restrict the movement of protesters would only strengthen public participation.
‘Students Will Find a Way’
Reacting to the temporary closure of several Delhi Metro stations, Arvind Kejriwal said that determined students would continue to participate in the protest regardless of transportation restrictions.
According to him, closing Metro stations is not the solution to public grievances. He asserted that the more authorities attempt to prevent students from assembling, the stronger the protest movement is likely to become.
Kejriwal added that even if Metro services are suspended, young protesters would walk to the protest venue because they are committed to raising their voices.

Calls on Government to Address Students’ Concerns
The AAP leader urged the Centre to engage with students instead of trying to suppress their demonstrations. He said the government should listen to the concerns of students and focus on restoring confidence in the country’s examination system.
He also reiterated his demand for accountability over the alleged NEET paper leak and questioned why the Union Education Minister had not stepped down despite the controversy.
AAP Extends Support to Protest
Kejriwal said the Aam Aadmi Party fully supports the ongoing protest and encouraged political parties across the country to stand with students seeking transparency and fairness in public examinations.
He stated that the alleged paper leak has raised serious concerns about the credibility of the examination process and stressed the need for comprehensive reforms to strengthen the system.
Metro Stations Closed Amid Security Measures
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) temporarily closed several Metro stations, including Rajiv Chowk, Central Secretariat, Mandi House, ITO, and Khan Market, citing security reasons.
The restrictions were imposed amid the ongoing protest at Jantar Mantar, where demonstrators have been raising concerns over the alleged NEET examination paper leak.
Demands for Examination Reforms Continue
As the protest gains momentum, opposition leaders continue to call for greater transparency, accountability and reforms in India’s public examination system. The issue is expected to remain a major political and public debate in the coming days as students continue to demand action over the alleged irregularities.
