Arvind Kejriwal condemns attack on AAP leader Pravinbhai Makwana in Botad, calls it attack on Gujarat’s voice for change.
Arvind Kejriwal, the national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), has strongly condemned the alleged attack on AAP’s elected representative in Botad district, Gujarat, calling it a serious concern for democracy and political freedom.
The incident involved Pravinbhai Makwana, a newly elected taluka panchayat member from AAP, who was reportedly attacked by unidentified miscreants. He sustained serious injuries and was admitted to a hospital for treatment.
Expressing concern over the incident, Arvind Kejriwal stated that he prays for Makwana’s speedy recovery. He described the attack as not just an assault on an individual, but on every citizen of Gujarat who is demanding change and accountability in governance.

According to Arvind Kejriwal, the growing support for political change in Gujarat appears to be unsettling certain sections, leading to attempts to suppress voices of dissent. He further claimed that the attack symbolizes a broader issue of political pressure faced by those challenging the existing system. Arvind Kejriwal said that the people of Gujarat will ultimately respond to such actions and stand firmly for democratic values and change.
The AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal also remarked that while opposition voices continue to be suppressed, his party workers remain committed to fighting for public rights and will not step back from their responsibilities.
He concluded by stating that Gujarat’s citizens are becoming increasingly aware and will no longer accept injustice or political intimidation, hinting that the demand for change in the state is only getting stronger.
