In preparation for the elections, West Bengal has seen unprecedented security arrangements. Around 2,400 paramilitary companies, totaling approximately 2,40,000 personnel, have been deployed. Notably, a record 20,000 female paramilitary personnel (about 200 companies) will serve in election duty. Voting will take place in two phases: the first phase on April 23 for 152 constituencies and the second phase on April 29 for 142 constituencies. The results will be declared on May 4.
