Union Minister said that India’s foreign policy has been guided by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Bharat First” and “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.” He said, “Together, we are very confident it will position us as “Vishwa Bandhu” Additionally, he expressed his confidence that the “foreign policy of Modi 3.0 will be very successful” under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership।
Speaking on India’s place in the globe, he stated, “Our country, which is in a very turbulent, divided world… a world of conflicts and tensions… it would actually position us as a country which is trusted by many, whose reputation and influence will grow, and whose interests will be advanced.”
Regarding perception and influence on a global scale, the MEA stated, that since 2019: “India’s influence has been steadily growing for us.” not only in terms of our own view, but also in terms of what other nations believe. They consider India to be a true friend, and they have observed that if any nation stands with the Global South during difficult times, it is India.
He stated that while there are various facets to India’s permanent membership in the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), the country’s global profile will “definitely increase” under the current administration. There is a global sentiment that India ought to be seated on the UNSC, Jaishankar stated earlier this year during his second term, “but the country will have to work harder this time for it.”
A government being elected three times in a row is a huge deal in any country, but especially in a democracy.
