Jalebi Baby at India vs Pakistan? Asia Cup Anthem Blunder Goes Viral
The much-hyped Asia Cup 2025 clash between India and Pakistan at the Dubai International Stadium wasn’t just about cricket — it turned into a talking point for all the wrong reasons. From a national anthem mix-up to no post-match handshakes, the drama off the field almost overshadowed India’s dominant win.

Right before the match began, fans were stunned when instead of Pakistan’s national anthem, the speakers briefly blasted Tesher and Jason Derulo’s viral hit “Jalebi Baby.” The song played for around six seconds before the correct anthem resumed, but by then, the damage (and the memes) had already been done.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) didn’t find the blunder funny. They filed a formal complaint with the International Cricket Council (ICC), even demanding the removal of match referee Andy Pycroft over the slip-up.
Meanwhile, singer Tesher leaned into the chaos, posting on Instagram: “Shout out to the sound guy for messing up the anthem and making this an absolutely hilarious day for me. Accidents happen to the best of us, God bless u whoever you are.”
He later doubled down with a cheeky video captioned “Jalebi Baby is always the right anthem,” joking, “When I said Jalebi Baby was an anthem, this is not what I had in mind.”
