Scholarship Programme Started in 2024
The scholarship programme was launched in 2024 and has already reached a large number of female students. According to the foundation, more than 1.9 lakh students have received support through the initiative since its launch.
The expansion of the programme to Delhi is intended to extend this educational support to more eligible girls and help them pursue undergraduate and diploma-level studies.

The Azim Premji Scholarship application process is completely online and free of cost. Eligible students can apply through the official website of the Azim Premji Foundation.
Applicants should carefully check the latest eligibility requirements and application guidelines before submitting their forms. They should also ensure that all required educational and admission-related information is correctly provided.
Focus on Girls’ Higher Education
Anurag Behar, CEO of the Azim Premji Foundation, has emphasised the importance of providing girls with equal opportunities in education and other areas.
According to him, girls will play an important role in shaping the future of society and the country. Higher education can serve as a long-term tool for empowering women, and financial assistance can help reduce some of the difficulties students face while pursuing further studies.
The Azim Premji Scholarship is therefore positioned as an initiative to support girls from eligible backgrounds in continuing their higher education and building stronger academic and career opportunities.
