Announced via OpenAI’s official X (formerly Twitter) account, the company stated:
“Record mode is rolling out today in ChatGPT to Pro, Enterprise, and Edu users. Available on macOS desktop app.”
The Record Mode allows users to record live conversations directly within the ChatGPT app. The AI then transcribes the audio, highlights key takeaways, and offers contextual suggestions — which may include follow-up actions, summaries, or even code snippets — streamlining workflows for professionals, students, and teams alike.
In addition to this update, OpenAI has also made its image generation tool accessible to all WhatsApp users, extending from its previous launch through the experimental 1-800-ChatGPT bot introduced in December 2024. This integration lets users generate images and chat with ChatGPT directly via WhatsApp, eliminating the need for a separate app or login.
With these advancements, OpenAI continues to position ChatGPT as a versatile productivity assistant — one that supports creative and collaborative work across platforms.
