CM Bhajan Lal Sharma: Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi said that the Central Government is fully dedicated to the welfare of farmers. The government is working at every level to increase the income of farmers, including better seeds, accessible and affordable fertilizers, irrigation facilities, maintenance of animals and protection from disaster. CM Bhajan Lal Sharma said that the government is fully committed to the upliftment of the poor, farmers, youth and women in building a developed India.
The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, today addressed the Kisan Samman Samaroh from Bhagalpur in Bihar. During this time, he digitally transferred an amount of 22 thousand crore rupees to 9 crore 80 lakh farmers under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi. He said that under this scheme, which started 6 years ago, so far 3 lakh 70 thousand crore rupees have been transferred directly to the accounts of farmers. Referring to the success of the PM Fasal Bima Yojana, he said that it has brought great relief to the farmers at the time of disaster. Under the Lakhpati Didi Yojana, 1.25 crore women have become financially self-reliant so far. The Prime Minister also pointed out that milk production has increased from 140 million tonnes to 240 million tonnes in the last decade, making India number one in the world.
Increase in agricultural exports, more benefits to farmers
The Prime Minister said that for the first time, the Central Government has started the facility of Kisan Credit Card for fish farmers. Export of agricultural products has increased, due to which farmers are getting better price for their produce. The government is taking new steps in this direction so that Indian products can reach the global level. He informed that in this year’s Union Budget, ‘PM Dhan-Dhan Yojana’ has been launched, under which agricultural production will be boosted by running special campaigns in 100 low-productivity districts. Further, the Central Government has achieved the target of 10 thousand Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), of which 40% are women.
Chief Minister’s resolution: There is no dearth in the welfare of farmers
Joining the national event through video conferencing at the state-level Kisan Samman Samaroh held in Jaipur, Rajasthan CM Bhajan Lal Sharma said that the state government is fully dedicated to the welfare of farmers and cattle rearers. He said that the State Government would leave no stone unturned to fulfill the Prime Minister’s resolve of farmer welfare and upliftment.
Congratulating the beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, the Chief Minister said that the 19th installment of Rs 1,400 crore has been transferred to the accounts of more than 72 lakh farmers of the state under this scheme. He described the event as an example of the Prime Minister’s commitment to the prosperity and welfare of farmers.
Huge relief for farmers in budge
CM Bhajan Lal Sharma said that many provisions have been made in this year’s budget to strengthen the farmers financially. This includes financial assistance for installation of 34 thousand solar plants, grants for drip and fountain irrigation, provision of 25 thousand farm pounds, 10 thousand diggis, 50 thousand solar pump plants and Rs 900 crore for 20 thousand kilometers of irrigation pipeline, which will benefit 4 lakh farmers of the state.
Extension of Mukhyamantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana
CM Bhajan Lal Sharma announced that the state government has increased the amount given to farmers under the Mukhyamantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana to Rs 9,000. So far, an amount of Rs 1,355 crore has been disbursed to more than 70 lakh farmers. In addition, more than 46 lakh farmers have been given short term crop loans of more than 25 thousand crore rupees. Insurance claims worth Rs 3,100 crore have been paid under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana.
Rajasthan: Leading producer of millets
CM Bhajan Lal Sharma said that Rajasthan ranks first in the production of Shree Anna (millet) in the country. Due to the efforts of the Prime Minister, farmers are getting huge benefits from it. The State Government has launched a pilot project for inclusion of Shree Anna based products in Mid-Day Meal Programme and Maa-Bari Kendras. Besides, outlets of millets products will be opened in every district.
He informed that Global Rajasthan Agri Tech Meet will be organized in the next financial year. Along with this, interest-free loans to 2.5 lakh Gopalak families, setting up of GSS at the remaining 2,500 Gram Panchayat headquarters and KVSS centres in 8 new districts will be started.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister distributed cheques to farmers under various agriculture schemes. He inaugurated the exhibition and visited various stalls put up by the Agriculture Department. Agriculture Minister Shri Kirodi Lal Meena, Minister of State for Cooperation Shri Gautam Kumar Dak, Member of Parliament Smt Manju Sharma, Secretary Cooperation Smt Manju Rajpal, Secretary Agriculture Shri Rajan Vishal, senior officers and a large number of farmers were present on the occasion.
