CM Mohan Yadav : Expanded to rural regions of Ujjain district
CM Mohan Yadav emphasized that the successful and well-organized hosting of Simhastha 2028 remains a top priority for the state government. To enhance preparations, arrangements for Simhastha will be extended to rural areas of Ujjain district, making the role of panchayat representatives crucial. Given Ujjain Janpad’s significance in facilitating pilgrim movement and its industrial presence, these efforts will play a key role in the region’s development. He urged panchayat representatives to carry out their responsibilities with dedication and sensitivity, ensuring structured development initiatives in the Janpad area.
CM Mohan Yadav virtually addressed the oath-taking ceremony of Smt. Bhawarbai Dule Singh Choudhary, the newly elected President of Janpad Panchayat Ujjain, from Samatva Bhavan at the Chief Minister’s residence.
Announcing financial support for regional development, he allocated Rs 1 crore for managing the Panchkoshi Yatra, Rs 5 crore for overall development, and Rs 10 crore for constructing panchayat buildings in areas where such facilities are lacking.
CM Mohan Yadav praised the beautification efforts of gram panchayat buildings, highlighting that they would provide better accommodation for officials and staff during rural visits. He also reviewed the distribution of Ayushman Cards for senior citizens and implementation progress of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
CM Mohan Yadav commended panchayat representatives for their innovative initiatives, such as transforming marriage gardens and gaushalas into wedding destinations, establishing sewing centers for women from the Pardhi community, and implementing water harvesting and solar lighting in government buildings. The event in Janpad Panchayat Ujjain was attended by the District Collector and local panchayat representatives.
