UP CM Yogi Adityanath said that Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj had established the Khalsa sect with the aim of saving the country and religion and to end caste discrimination and untouchability.There is a long series of sacrifices of Sikh Gurus. Sikh Gurus have a glorious past from Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Guru Arjun Dev Ji, Guru Tegh Bahadur Singh Ji to Guru Gobind Singh Ji. It is our duty to draw inspiration from this long journey of the Guru tradition. Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj’s Prakash Parv is the day of this inspiration. The Chief Minister was expressing his views in a programme organised on the occasion of Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj’s Prakash Utsav at DAV Degree College here today. In the program, the Chief Minister was presented with a saropa and a memento. The Chief Minister bowed before Shri Guru Granth Sahib. He congratulated everyone on the occasion of the Prakash Utsav of Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj.
CM Yogi ji said that Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj was the son of a martyred father and the father of martyred sons. On 26 December 2024, through Veer Bal Diwas, the country will remember the four Sahibzadas of Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj, Baba Ajit Singh,He expressed his respect for the martyrdom of Baba Jujhar Singh, Baba Zorawar Singh, Baba Fateh Singh and Mata Gujri and paid homage to their memories.
CM Yogi Ji said that Guru Teg Bahadur Singh Ji Maharaj sacrificed his life for the country and religion. Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj had inspired Guru Teg Bahadur Singh Ji to sacrifice his life at that time. Guru Gobind Singh Ji told his father that the country and religion are in danger. If a great person is sacrificed, then only the heretics will be exposed and the country will stand against themGuru Gobind Singh Ji told Guru Tegh Bahadur Singh Ji that no one else could be more suitable than him for this great sacrifice. That is why Guru Tegh Bahadur Singh Ji gave his head and saved the head of India, Kashmir.
CM Yogi ji said that two younger Sahibzaades of Guru Gobind Singh Maharaj, Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh were pressured by Wazir Khan to accept Islam,But both the Sahibzadas refused to do so. Then they were bricked alive into the walls. In the battle of Chamkaur, both the elder Sahibzadas, Baba Ajit Singh and Baba Jujhar Singh attained martyrdom. Mata Gujri sacrificed her life in this sorrow.
CM Yogi ji said that while moving ahead in these adverse circumstances, Guru Gobind Singh ji Maharaj said only one thing that ‘what if four died, thousands are alive’. This mantra gives a new inspiration to the whole of India even today. The feeling of reverence towards this Guru tradition gives us new life and inspiration and infuses new energy. By declaring, ‘Khalsa Panth is celebrated in the entire world, Hindu religion is celebrated in all the worlds’, he challenged the non-Hindu forces which were creating obstacles in the path of the country and religion at that time.
CM Yogi ji said that it is our good fortune that Guru Teg Bahadur Singh Maharaj stayed with Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj in his childhood at the Yahiaganj Gurdwara in Lucknow.
