CM Yogi Adityanath said that knowledge is considered paramount in Indian culture. Quoting the Gita and the Upanishads, he said there is no greater virtue than knowledge. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country has started moving forward by taking legacy and development along, he said, highlighting the changes that have taken place in the field of education, health and employment.
CM Yogi Adityanath also said that India has now overcome the identity crisis and has become the fifth largest economy in the world. It will become the third largest economy in the near future. India has revived its cultural heritage through events like Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir, Kashi Vishwanath Dham and Divya Mahakumbh.
CM Yogi Adityanath tried to explain from the episodes of Ramayana that India never ruled by force, but influenced the world with harmony and knowledge. He appreciated Buddha’s message and his global influence, adding that countries like Japan, Korea and Laos are still associated with the Buddhist tradition.
CM Yogi Adityanath said that the synergy of heritage and development will make our lives better. Since 2014, India has made rapid progress on this path. The new National Education Policy has worked to take knowledge to the masses by promoting education in the mother tongue.
Referring to various educational initiatives of the state government such as PM Shree School, Atal Awasiya Vidyalaya, Abhyudaya Coaching Scheme and Operation Kayakalp, Yogi Adityanath said that these initiatives are making education accessible and quality-oriented.
CM Yogi Adityanath described the launch of Guru Gorakshnath Gyansthali Vidyalaya as a revolutionary step in the field of education in the region and said that this school will be associated with nationalism, culture and values.
Finally, he recalled the tradition of Saraswati Shishu Mandirs and highlighted the contribution of the society in education. The programme was attended by students, teachers, government officials and others.
