CM Yogi Adityanath said that providing better residential facilities to the people and improving their living standards is the top priority of the double engine government. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken many important steps in this direction in the last 10 years. He has promoted modern and time-bound housing schemes at low cost with the help of technology. In line with this thinking, the Lucknow Development Authority has taken forward the Anant Nagar Housing Scheme, which is being launched today on the occasion of Vasant Navratri.
CM Yogi Adityanath made these remarks at a programme held at his official residence, where he launched the registration of plots under this scheme to be built on 785 acres at a cost of Rs 6,500 crore. He also saw the model of the scheme in the programme.
CM Yogi Adityanath said that after two decades, such a big and modern housing scheme has been started in Lucknow, which will strengthen the economy of the state and will give strength to the government in the direction of becoming a trillion dollar economy.
This scheme will be connected to the international airport, expressway and Lucknow Ring Road, which will provide better connectivity. The plan also reserves 100 acres of land for an education hub, where facilities from pre-primary to higher, technical and medical education will be available.
Arrangements have been made to provide high-rise apartments and vacant plots for each class. CM Yogi Adityanath emphasized that earlier it used to take 5 to 10 years to build a high-rise building, but now with modern technology, quality buildings can be prepared in a few months.
Giving an example, he said that two years ago, the Lucknow Municipal Corporation started the Light House Project, which was based on state-of-the-art technology and did not stop even during the time of Covid. The Chief Minister said that the Anant Nagar scheme should also be equipped with new technologies in the same way, which has all kinds of basic facilities, greenery and spiritual atmosphere.
CM Yogi Adityanath informed that so far 800 acres of land has been identified under the scheme, which will benefit about 1.5 lakh people. Special provisions have been made for people from low income groups. Under the scheme, 10 thousand flats, 5 thousand buildings to accommodate 25 thousand people, 3 thousand under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and 100 acres for Edutech City have been arranged. In addition, 4 thousand plots and 130 acres of park for 20 thousand people are also proposed.
CM Yogi Adityanath also directed that there should be transparency in this scheme and the needy should not take the help of any middleman. The selection process should be transparent.
