Addressing the media, the Chief Minister said that action was initiated after multiple complaints surfaced regarding the sale of toxic and illegal cough syrups at various locations across the state. He added that large-scale smuggling was also detected, which was later controlled following coordinated enforcement efforts.
Several arrests have been made so far, and the investigation is ongoing.
