Dr Baljit Kaur reviews SC Sub-Plan spending, highlighting 100% budget utilisation by two Punjab departments and urging others to use remaining funds.
Punjab Cabinet Minister Dr Baljit Kaur has reviewed the implementation of the Scheduled Caste (SC) Sub-Plan with officials from various departments, emphasising the effective use of allocated funds to improve facilities and support the welfare of the SC community.
During the review meeting, Dr Baljit Kaur stated that the Social Security, Women and Child Development Department and the Dairy Department have utilised 100% of their allocated budgets under the SC Sub-Plan. The achievement reflects the departments’ spending on initiatives aimed at benefiting the Scheduled Caste community.
The minister also directed other departments to ensure the timely and effective utilisation of their remaining funds. She stressed that the available budget should be used efficiently so that members of the SC community can receive maximum benefits from government welfare initiatives.

Dr Baljit Kaur Emphasises Effective Use of SC Sub-Plan Funds
Dr Baljit Kaur highlighted the importance of coordinated efforts among departments to achieve the objectives of the SC Sub-Plan. She called for a focused approach to spending the remaining budget, ensuring that allocated resources translate into meaningful support and improved facilities for eligible beneficiaries.
The review meeting assessed departmental progress and highlighted the need for accountability in implementing welfare measures.
