Governor Mangubhai Patel : The government is offering a range of facilities, from Anganwadi services to opportunities for education abroad.
Governor Mangubhai Patel stated that both the Central and State governments are focusing on the welfare of underprivileged tribes. As part of a dedicated campaign, vital facilities like roads, electricity, water, schools, and Anganwadi centres are being made available in the tribal areas of Sahariya, Baiga, and Bhariya. The Governor shared these insights while interacting with villagers in Chilwaha village, Raisen district, on Monday.
Governor Mangubhai Patel expressed his satisfaction during his visit to the village, noting his admiration for the positive transformations in the lives of the tribal community, such as concrete houses, drinking water facilities, and sanitation improvements. He commended Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for his ongoing dedication to the welfare of backward classes and society. Governor Patel emphasized the privilege of having Shri Modi’s visionary and empathetic leadership guiding the development of Janman villages. He pointed out that the Prime Minister, with a special focus on the tribal community, has allocated budget provisions to provide 11 essential services, including housing, education, water, roads, and irrigation. Furthermore, mobile medical vans have been deployed in tribal villages to offer health checkups and treatment.
Joining self-help groups boosts women’s confidence
Governor Mangubhai Patel mentioned that women have achieved notable economic and social advancements by becoming part of self-help groups. Their confidence has been growing, with many of them starting their own businesses and becoming financially independent. As a result, their respect within the family has also increased. Speaking about the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, he emphasized that the poor no longer need to worry about healthcare costs. Those with an Ayushman card can receive free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh at private hospitals.
There is no progress without education
Governor Mangubhai Patel encouraged the villagers to prioritize their children’s education, stressing that education is the foundation of societal progress. He explained that if children study, they will advance and help in the development of the family. He also noted that financial constraints are no longer an obstacle to education, as the government is providing support from Anganwadis to sending students abroad. Governor Mangubhai Patel urged the villagers to send their children to Anganwadis, as both the state and central governments have numerous schemes to assist in their education. During a discussion with women, he inquired about how many of their children were attending college, and many women shared that their sons and daughters were indeed enrolled in college.
Governor Mangubhai Patel visits PM Janman Yojana beneficiaries at their homes
Before the Jan Samvad programme in Janman village Chilwaha, Governor Shri Patel visited the homes of beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Janman Yojana to observe the positive changes in their lives after receiving the scheme’s benefits. His first stop was at the home of Smt. Shyama Bai and her daughter Smt. Priya Bai, where they warmly welcomed the Governor with tilak and aarti. Smt. Shyama Bai expressed her heartfelt gratitude to both the Central and State Governments for the scheme’s benefits and shared how it has transformed her life. She offered tea and kheer, which she had personally prepared, to the Governor. The Governor also visited their PM Janman residences.
Subsequently,Governor Mangubhai Patel visited other PM Janman Yojana beneficiaries, including Shri Gendalal (son of Shri Gangaram), Smt. Pooja Bai (wife of Shri Dhaniram), and Smt. Rajni Bai (wife of Shri Ganpat) at their PM Janman Awas. He interacted with them about the impact of government schemes. The beneficiaries expressed their excitement and gratitude to the government for its welfare initiatives, thrilled by the Governor’s visit to their homes.
