Industry and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh held a high-level review meeting in Gurugram with senior officials from GMDA and the Municipal Corporation to assess the progress of ongoing development works in the city. The meeting focused on accelerating infrastructure projects and ensuring timely completion with quality standards.
During the discussion, the minister issued clear instructions to speed up all development projects across Gurugram. He emphasized that public inconvenience must be avoided under all circumstances and that every project should be executed efficiently, maintaining both quality and deadlines.
A key focus of the meeting was the persistent issue of waterlogging in the city, especially ahead of the upcoming monsoon season. Rao Narbir Singh directed officials to develop a permanent and effective drainage solution so that residents do not face water accumulation or disruption during heavy rainfall.

The minister stated that the government’s vision is to transform Gurugram into a modern and well-planned urban city with world-class infrastructure. He highlighted the need for strong coordination between departments to ensure smooth implementation of development schemes.
He further added that improving public facilities remains a top priority, and no delay in infrastructure projects will be tolerated. The administration has been instructed to adopt a time-bound approach for all ongoing works to ensure faster delivery of civic amenities.
Officials were also told to regularly monitor project progress and resolve on-ground issues immediately. The minister stressed that efficient governance and accountability are essential to achieve sustainable urban development in Gurugram.
