Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini has instructed all Deputy Commissioners to promptly submit reports on the damage caused to farmers’ crops due to recent unseasonal rains and hailstorms. These reports will help assess losses and ensure that affected farmers receive timely compensation.
Addressing the media today, CM Nayab Singh Saini highlighted that unseasonal rains and hailstorms impacted crops across various parts of the state on February 27 and 28. He directed officials to submit the necessary data to the headquarters by tomorrow, allowing for the swift opening of the Kshtipurti portal to facilitate compensation for farmers.
Approval for 800 MW Thermal Power Unit in Yamunanagar
In a High Power Works Purchase Committee meeting held today, the government approved the establishment of an additional 800 MW coal-based super-critical unit at the Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram Thermal Power Plant in Yamunanagar. The project, estimated to cost ₹7,272 crore, has secured environmental clearance. Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has been assigned the responsibility of setting up the unit, with work scheduled to begin on April 1. The project is expected to be completed within approximately two and a half years.
CET Exam to Be Conducted Soon
Regarding the Common Eligibility Test (CET), CM Nayab Singh Saini stated that discussions have been held with the National Testing Agency (NTA). Keeping in mind the aspirations of Haryana’s youth, he assured that the CET exam would be conducted at the earliest.
Excitement Over Upcoming Civic Elections
Speaking about the upcoming municipal elections, CM Nayab Singh Saini noted strong public enthusiasm. He emphasized that the people of Haryana are eager to establish a “triple-engine government” on March 12, which would accelerate development in the state. He urged citizens to participate actively and cast their votes.
Inclusive Budget for Haryana’s Development
Regarding the upcoming assembly session starting on March 7, CM Nayab Singh Saini mentioned that the date for the state budget presentation will be decided in the BAC (Business Advisory Committee) meeting. He emphasized that this budget would be inclusive, incorporating suggestions from various stakeholders such as youth, women, industry leaders, farmers, and chartered accountants. Additionally, around 10,000 suggestions have been received from the public through an online portal. Suggestions from MLAs will also be gathered on March 3 to ensure the budget reflects the aspirations of Haryana’s 2.80 crore residents. He described this as the first budget of the government’s third term under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, focused on accelerating the state’s progress.
Development Without Discrimination
CM Nayab Singh Saini asserted that Haryana has witnessed balanced development across all sectors over the past decade, without any discrimination. He contrasted this with the previous Congress-led government, accusing it of failing to fulfill its promises. He reiterated that the present government has already completed 18 key commitments from its “Sankalp Patra” (manifesto) in its first 100 days, with 10 more expected to be fulfilled soon. Unlike the Congress, which concentrated development in select areas, the BJP government is ensuring equal progress across the state.
Criticism of AAP Governance
When asked about the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), CM Nayab Singh Saini criticized its governance in Delhi and Punjab, stating that people have seen through its false claims of honesty. He alleged that Delhi’s residents were misled, and Punjab is also realizing AAP’s deceptive politics. He predicted that the party would be eliminated from Punjab in the 2027 assembly elections.
