HARYANA NEWS : The selection process for Haryana’s State Song by the Legislative Assembly Committee is nearing completion. Vidhan Sabha Speaker Harvinder Kalyan attended the committee’s 10th meeting on Tuesday, where he, along with committee members and officials, listened to the proposed state song. Impressed by its lyrics and music, Kalyan remarked that the song effectively represents Haryana in its entirety. The committee is expected to submit its final report soon, and the official release of the state song may be announced during the upcoming Budget session.
Harvinder Kalyan acknowledged the dedication of committee members, officials, and artists involved in the project. He highlighted that the song’s language and emotions are deeply impactful, capturing Haryana’s rich history, cultural heritage, geographical diversity, and development journey.
The state song aims to reflect Haryana’s core identity, including its festive traditions and the simplicity of its people. It also emphasizes values like mutual brotherhood, education, and commerce. In addition to portraying Haryanvi folk life, the song honors the contributions of the state’s farmers, brave soldiers, and sportspersons who bring pride to Haryana.
The meeting was attended by key officials, including committee chairman Laxman Singh Yadav, members Geeta Bhukkal and Vinod Bhayana, Principal Secretary of the Art and Cultural Affairs Department Dr. Amit Agrawal, and Director General K.M. Pandurang.
