Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Around 97 crore individuals are eligible to vote in the next polls. Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar said that voters older than 85 years of age will be permitted to vote from home. He added that all polling places will have the bare minimum of amenities, such as drinking water and restrooms. The current Lok Sabha’s term expires on June 16, and a new House must be established prior to that date. June also marks the conclusion of the four-state assembly’ terms.
The BJP, which is running for a third consecutive term, received 303 seats in the most recent parliamentary elections, while the Congress received 52 seats. The opposition coalition INDIA is working to halt the BJP’s rule, and the next elections will be vital to their efforts.
