His remarks came during the inaugural ceremony of the North Tech Symposium in Prayagraj.
Referring to recent global conflicts, Rajnath Singh emphasized that modern warfare technology India is undergoing a major transformation, where traditional tools like tanks and missiles are now being supplemented—and in some cases replaced—by drones, sensors, and cyber capabilities. He noted that the nature of war has changed significantly within just a few years.
The Defence Minister Rajnath Singh pointed to incidents such as the Lebanon and Syria pager blasts, describing them as examples of how unpredictable modern conflicts have become. Rajnath Singh made these remarks while inaugurating the North Tech Symposium themed “Raksha Triveni Sangam – Where Technology, Industry & Soldiering Converge.” He highlighted the importance of indigenous innovation in advancing modern warfare technology India.
The three-day event, jointly organized by the Indian Army’s Northern and Central Commands along with the Society of Indian Defence Manufacturers, showcases 284 companies presenting advanced defence technologies. Singh said such initiatives will play a key role in boosting modern warfare technology India and strengthening the country’s defence capabilities.
His statement underlines India’s growing focus on technological advancement in defence, as modern warfare technology India continues to evolve in response to global security challenges.
