NCM to Organize State Minorities Commissions Conference on Education, Inclusion, and Empowerment
The National Commission for Minorities (NCM) will host a significant Conference of State Minorities Commissions on March 25, 2025, focusing on education, inclusion, and empowerment of minority communities in India. The event aims to bring together policymakers, experts, and stakeholders to discuss strategies for promoting equitable opportunities and welfare for minorities.
Minister of State for Minority Affairs, Shri George Kurian, will attend as the Guest of Honour, inaugurating the conference with the traditional lighting of the lamp. NCM Chairman, Shri Iqbal Singh Lalpura, will deliver the opening address, setting the stage for discussions led by distinguished panelists.
The conference will feature two key technical sessions:

Education: Ensuring Access and Support for Minorities – Addressing challenges and solutions for inclusive education.

Minority Inclusion and Welfare – Examining the government’s role in empowerment and development initiatives.
Union Minister of Minority Affairs, Shri Kiren Rijiju, will deliver the Chief Guest’s address, reaffirming the government’s commitment to minority welfare. The event will conclude with an open-house discussion on the challenges faced by State Minority Commissions, followed by the valedictory address by Shri Iqbal Singh Lalpura.
