PM Modi Birthday: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Union Minister Chirag Paswan offered prayers at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi on Thursday, September 17, on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 76th birthday.
The leaders gathered at the temple to participate in special prayers for the Prime Minister’s long life and good health. BJP state president and Union Minister of State Pankaj Chaudhary was also present during the religious ceremony.
Rajnath Singh Prays for PM Modi’s Long Life
Rajnath Singh said the leaders had assembled at Kashi Vishwanath to seek blessings for Prime Minister Modi’s health and longevity. He also said prayers were offered for the fulfilment of the vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat’.
The Defence Minister said the rituals were performed as part of the birthday observances and that the gathering was organised with the intention of seeking divine blessings for the Prime Minister and the country’s development goals.
The PM Modi Birthday celebrations in Varanasi therefore included both religious observances and public activities connected with the Prime Minister’s years of public service.
Yogi Adityanath Highlights Vision of Developed India
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath described the occasion as significant and said prayers were offered for Prime Minister Modi’s health and longevity.

Yogi Adityanath expressed the hope that India’s leadership would continue under Modi for a long period and that citizens would witness progress towards a self-reliant, secure and developed nation. He also spoke about India’s aspiration to become the world’s leading economy.
Sanitation workers associated with Baba Vishwanath Dham were also felicitated during the occasion.
Chandrababu Naidu Calls the Occasion Historic
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu described the celebration at Kashi Vishwanath as a historic occasion. He said the country was proud of Prime Minister Modi and spoke about India’s development aspirations over the coming decades.
Naidu said he expected India to move towards becoming a developed nation over the next 25 years and called upon citizens to contribute to the country’s progress.
The PM Modi Birthday programme in Varanasi also featured a special initiative involving bikers travelling from Varanasi to Vadnagar to highlight the Prime Minister’s 25 years of public service.
Laddoos Distributed to Bikers
After the temple programme, laddoos were distributed as prasad among bikers participating in the Varanasi-to-Vadnagar journey.
The event added a public dimension to the PM Modi Birthday celebrations, with participants travelling between Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh and Vadnagar in Gujarat, the Prime Minister’s birthplace.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi was born on September 17, 1950, in Vadnagar, Gujarat, to Hiraba and Damodardas Modi.

On his birthday, Prime Minister Modi expressed gratitude for the affection and blessings he received from people across the country. In a post shared on X, he said such gestures strengthen his resolve to serve the people of Bharat with greater dedication.
