Three northeastern states — Manipur, Meghalaya and Tripura — are celebrating their Statehood Day today, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended warm wishes to the people, praising their contribution to India’s progress and cultural richness.

In his message, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted Manipur’s hardworking citizens, saying their dedication and discipline continue to strengthen the nation. He expressed confidence that the state will keep moving forward on the path of growth and stability. Modi also appreciated Manipur’s strong sporting culture, vibrant traditions and close connection with nature, calling it a unique identity of the region.

Responding to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s message, Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla thanked him for his continuous support and commitment toward the state’s development. Officials from Raj Bhavan in Imphal also shared a message acknowledging the Centre’s focus on inclusive growth, improved opportunities and long-term progress for the people of Manipur.
