He appealed to all citizens, saying, “I urge you to join the nationwide ‘Run for Unity’ on October 31, on Sardar Patel’s birth anniversary.”
PM Narendra Modi also recalled Patel’s dedication to India’s independence movement, inspired by Mahatma Gandhi, and highlighted his involvement in historic campaigns such as the Kheda and Borsad Satyagrahas. His leadership in integrating princely states into independent India remains a monumental contribution to the nation’s unity and identity.
