Trained extensively in Hindustani classical music from the age of five under Qadir Mustafa Khan, son of the legendary Ghulam Mustafa Khan, Rasha Thadani also explored jazz music. She revealed, “Music is like an escape for me. That hour of riyaaz is completely mine. I’ve always loved singing; it’s been a lifelong passion. I am completely obsessed with singing, even in the shower. Now, being able to share my voice with the world is beyond gratifying.”
For Rasha, Chaap Tilak is more than just a song—it is a spiritual homage to Lord Shiva. She explained, “I’ve visited the 12 Jyotirlings, and Shiva is a constant presence in my life beyond religion. My interpretation of the song revolves around the damru and envisioning Natraj dancing on its beats. The song is an ode to him, the god of art and dance, and all my art belongs to him.”
The debut also received praise from none other than actor Prabhas, who complimented her vocal performance. Rasha Thadani called this recognition a significant confidence boost: “Prabhas is a huge inspiration for me. His support is incredibly motivating. Receiving his appreciation makes me feel encouraged and more determined to grow in the industry.”
Laikey Laikaa and its musical track Chaap Tilak are poised to showcase Rasha Thadani’s versatile talents, blending classical devotion with cinematic storytelling, marking a strong beginning for her career in music.
