The Chhattisgarh government has introduced farmer-focused measures to ensure a seamless and transparent paddy procurement process at procurement centers. These initiatives are helping farmers receive fair prices for their produce. Features such as the online token system, adequate availability of gunny bags, and efficient weighing procedures have improved both convenience and transparency in paddy sales.
Farmer Shri Bhagat Ram Sahu, who recently sold his produce at the Raipura paddy procurement center in Sakti district, commended the state’s procurement arrangements. He expressed his satisfaction with the government’s support and highlighted how the paddy procurement policy is providing significant economic security to farmers.
Shri Sahu shared his experience, highlighting that his paddy sale was completed promptly and without any complications. He found the process smooth and hassle-free. He also appreciated the facilities provided at the procurement center, including water, seating arrangements, sufficient gunny bags, and shelters, which added to his convenience.
He further noted that the state government is purchasing 21 quintals of paddy per acre at a fair price. Shri Bhagat Ram Sahu expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai for enhancing the procurement process and ensuring fair treatment for farmers.
