UP CM Yogi Adityanath explained how “trust and technology” have transformed Uttar Pradesh, focusing on law and order, economic growth, Defence Industrial Corridor development, and technological governance reforms.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday explained how “trust and technology” have driven significant transformation in Uttar Pradesh during a dialogue with a delegation from the National Defence College. The CM highlighted improvements in law and order, threefold economic growth, increased investments, and the expansion of the state’s expressway network.
The delegation included senior officers from the Indian Armed Forces, civil services, and representatives from several foreign armies participating in the National Security and Strategic Studies program organized by the Ministry of Defence.
Law and Order and Economic Growth
CM Yogi Adityanath noted that before 2017, law and order was a major challenge in Uttar Pradesh. Since then, the state government has effectively established the Rule of Law, curbed illegal extortion, and brought stability across the state. These reforms have directly contributed to increased investor confidence and accelerated economic development.
“Over the past nine years, Uttar Pradesh’s economy has tripled, and the state now boasts the largest network of highways and expressways in India, including nearly 55% of the country’s expressways,” the CM said.
Defence Industrial Corridor and Strategic Investments
The Chief Minister also emphasized the rapid development of the Defence Industrial Corridor in Uttar Pradesh. Key projects include the BrahMos missile manufacturing unit in Lucknow, large-scale investments in Kanpur, and the BEBLE SCAT production unit in Hardoi. Additionally, the country’s largest international airport is under construction in Jewar, enhancing the state’s strategic infrastructure.

Technology-Driven Governance
To modernize law enforcement, CM Yogi Adityanath shared that every division in the state now has cyber forensic labs, each district has forensic mobile vans, and 75 cyber police stations have been established. The DBT system ensures direct delivery of benefits to eligible beneficiaries, reducing leakages and improving governance.
The CM invited officials to visit the Defence Corridor to understand progress firsthand. He stressed that effective monitoring, field visits, and accountability are critical for the successful implementation of policies. Sharing insights from his foreign visits, CM Yogi Adityanath praised Japan’s civic sense, cleanliness, and discipline, which have encouraged Japanese industries to invest in Uttar Pradesh.
Delegation Visit and Governor Interaction
The delegation was led by Air Marshal Manish Kumar Gupta, Commandant of the National Defence College, New Delhi. Members included senior officers from India and foreign nations such as Sri Lanka, Mongolia, Maldives, Armenia, and Brazil.
The delegation also met Governor Anandiben Patel at Raj Bhavan, where she highlighted initiatives in higher education, strengthening Anganwadi systems, TB eradication, and HPV vaccination for cervical cancer prevention. They further interacted with Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya regarding governance initiatives.
