Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami orders strict action against illegal land occupation using blue-yellow-green sheets. Government reclaims 550 religious sites and ensures demographic protection and law enforcement.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has issued strict directives to curb illegal land occupation across Uttarakhand, warning that attempts to alter the state’s demographic structure will not be tolerated. CM Pushkar Singh Dhami emphasized that the government is meticulously reviewing all documents and ensuring that no fraudulent activities go unchecked.
Speaking to reporters after the annual conference of the Former Central Armed Police Force Personnel Organization at the CRPF Camp in Kathgodam, CM Dhami stated that some infiltrators have managed to obtain ration cards and fake residential certificates, attempting to claim local resident status. “We will not allow any encroachment or manipulation of Uttarakhand’s demographic composition,” he added.
CM Pushkar Singh Dhami highlighted that in several cases, vacant lands were illegally occupied using blue, yellow, and green sheets, followed by construction activities. So far, authorities have identified 550 religious sites affected by such illegal occupations and have reclaimed these lands under government control. A dedicated anti-encroachment drive will continue to ensure that all such instances are addressed promptly.

CM Pushkar Singh Dhami further announced that families of paramilitary personnel who sacrifice their lives in the line of duty will now receive ₹50 lakh in compensation, an increase from the previous ₹10 lakh.
