Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said the young population of eastern Uttar Pradesh is playing a key role in the region’s economic transformation. He said the youth of Purvanchal have always possessed talent and determination, but lacked sufficient opportunities and platforms in the past.

‘Youth Had Talent, But Opportunities Were Missing’
Yogi Adityanath said the lack of progress in eastern Uttar Pradesh was not due to any shortage of talent among its young people. According to him, the earlier system failed to create enough avenues for young people to use their abilities effectively.
He said the government’s focus on education, skill development, employment and entrepreneurship has helped create a more supportive environment for the region’s youth.

The Chief Minister said the perception of eastern Uttar Pradesh has changed considerably over the past nine years. He highlighted the region’s growing economic activity and said it is developing into an important centre for healthcare, education, investment and job creation.

The Chief Minister expressed confidence that the state could move towards becoming a USD 1 trillion economy within the next three years.
Gorakhpur Investments Create Jobs for Youth
Highlighting Gorakhpur’s development, Yogi Adityanath said investments made in the city over the last nine years have generated employment opportunities for approximately 50,000 young people.
He also pointed to Uttar Pradesh’s large youth population, saying around 56-60% of the state’s population is young. According to him, this demographic strength can become a major driver of economic growth if young people receive the right education, skills and employment opportunities.
