CM Yogi Adityanath inspected the Noida International Airport construction site for the second time in a month. BCAS has completed the security check, and the DGCA license is awaited. The inauguration date may be announced today. The CM also inaugurated Medanta Hospital in Noida Sector-50.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday conducted a detailed inspection of the ongoing construction work at the Noida International Airport in Jewar. This marks his second visit to the project site within a month. Senior officials, public representatives and hundreds of party workers welcomed the Chief Minister upon his arrival.
According to officials, the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) has completed its security inspection of the airport. Its report will now be forwarded to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). Once DGCA issues the final license, the state government is expected to announce the airport’s inauguration date—possibly later today.
CM Reviews Progress, Holds High-Level Meeting with Officials
During the visit, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a meeting with senior officers to review the current status of airport development, compliance updates and pending work. He later inspected multiple sections of the airport, including the runway area and terminal building.
Union Minister of Civil Aviation, Ram Mohan Naidu, also reached the airport and accompanied the Chief Minister during the inspection. Local MLAs, MPs and several dignitaries were present at the helipad constructed in front of the terminal building to receive the CM.

Following the airport inspection, CM Yogi visited Medanta Hospital in Sector-50, Noida, where he formally inaugurated the facility by cutting the ribbon. Priests performed a traditional prayer ceremony in the presence of the Chief Minister.
He also inspected the newly built Cath Lab inside the hospital, accompanied by Medanta Chairman Dr. Naresh Trehan, District Magistrate Medha Roopam and senior police officials.
Second Visit in a Month Signals Fast-Paced Development
This was Yogi Adityanath’s second visit to the Noida International Airport site in nearly a month. During his previous inspection, the Chief Minister issued several directions to speed up the work. Today, he reviewed the progress made since then and evaluated compliance with earlier instructions.
The BCAS Standing Committee completed its security assessment of the airport on Tuesday. Final documentation will now be sent to the DGCA for approval. Once the DGCA issues its operational license, the state government will announce a formal inauguration date.
The Noida International Airport, being developed as one of India’s largest aviation hubs, is expected to significantly reduce congestion at Delhi’s IGI Airport and boost connectivity across northern India.
