CM Nitish Kumar inspected JP Setu Ghat / Digha Ganga Ghat in connection with the preparations for Chhath 2024, a major festival of the people’s faith. During the inspection, the Chief Minister took stock of barricading, cleanliness, facilities and security of Chhath devotees and gave necessary directions to the officials.
During the inspection, the Chief Minister directed the officials that the Chhath Mahaparv is starting from tomorrow. The administration was fully alert about all the arrangements at the Chhath ghats. Take special care that there is no hesitation in offering Arghya to Chhath devotees. There should be no negligence regarding safety, hygiene and facilities at the Chhath ghats. He said that there should be no inconvenience in transportation for Chhath devotees and keep the traffic system safe and smooth.
After inspecting the Chhath Ghat, the Chief Minister inaugurated the Ganga Utsav at JP Setu Ghat / Digha Ganga Ghat by lighting the lamp.
Urban Development and Housing Minister Nitin Navin, Patna Mayor Sita Sahu, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Deepak Kumar, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Dr. Siddharth, Special Officer to the Chief Minister Dr. Gopal Singh, Patna District Magistrate Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh, Patna Senior Superintendent of Police Rajiv Mishra and Patna Municipal Corporation Commissioner Animesh Parasar were also present on the occasion.
