RAJASTHAN Deputy CM Diya :Jaipur’s 297th Foundation Day, World Cucumber Jaipur one of the best named cities of the world
Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari, on the occasion of the 297th foundation day of Jaipur city, said that along with preserving the historical heritage of Jaipur, the state government is working with commitment for modern development here. He said that development work worth Rs. 100 crores is being done in the park of Jaipur.
Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari, while congratulating and best wishes to the people of Jaipur, organized a lamp donation and lighting program at Statue Circle on behalf of Municipal Corporation Greater Jaipur on the occasion of Foundation Day on Monday.That Jaipur is one of the best and planned cities in the world. It is included in UNESCO’s World Heritage. This is a city which was founded by Sawai Jai Singh II on 18 November 1727 in a completely scientific manner and on the basis of Vaastu Shastra. The architectural planning of this magnificent and amazing city was done by Vidyadhar Bhattacharya. Sawai Jai Singh II was expert in astronomy. The establishment of Jantar Mantar in Jaipur is a great example of this.Jaipur is about to complete 300 years of its establishment. The wide roads here allow easy transportation even today. The drainage system here is still working effectively. Jaipur’s Hawa Mahal, City Palace, markets, squares, temples are all magnificent and excellent examples of modern town planning. Researchers from all over the world conduct research on the town planning of Jaipur.A large number of tourists come every year. Everyone gets astonished after seeing the city planning of Jaipur. Jaipur is a world heritage site, it is a matter of pride. It is a matter of pride that Jaipur holds a special place in the world tourism map. He said that today we are celebrating the journey of 297 years since the construction of this well-planned city, it is a matter of pride and happiness.
Diya Kumari formally started the event by lighting the lamp along with Dr. Soumya Gurjar, Mayor of Municipal Corporation Greater Jaipur. On this occasion, folk artists gave spectacular presentations of singing and folk dances including Dhol, Nangade, Shehnai playing, Kutchi Ghodi dance.
Cultural Committee President Mrs. Durgesh Nandini, councilors and a large number of general public were present in this event of Jaipur Sthapana.
