CM Yogi Adityanath held a meeting with public representatives and officials in Mirzapur today to review the progress of preparations, development works and under-construction projects for the upcoming Chaitra Navratri Mela.
He directed that devotees should not face any problem of darshan-pujan, night stay and security during the Navratri fair. Keeping in view the heat, adequate arrangements for drinking water should be ensured and special drives should be undertaken to maintain cleanliness in the entire mela area. Referring to Mahakumbh 2025, he said that policing and cleanliness were the main factors for its success, so special attention should be given to them in the Navratri fair as well.
The Chief Minister directed to improve parking arrangements, ensure safety during Ganga Snan and deployment of divers and water police. Emphasis was also laid on laying thick jute mats on the Darshan Marg, making adequate arrangements for shade, ensuring fire safety and keeping the street lights functional.
He held a meeting with the banks under the ‘Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyaan’ to achieve the target of 100 per cent loan disbursement. Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision to make India TB-free by 2025, he asked to ensure identification and treatment of TB patients. He also directed to expedite the ‘Har Ghar Nal Yojana’ and ensure water supply in rural and urban areas in view of the heat.
Besides, he directed to keep strict vigil on land mafias, mining mafias and cow smugglers and prevent incidents of forced conversions. He asked to send a proposal to increase the number of seats in the medical college and improve other facilities.
He said nodal officers should be appointed to monitor development schemes at tehsil and block levels, review them by the district magistrate and send a report to the government. Negligence at any level will not be tolerated, he warned.
Prior to the meeting, the Chief Minister paid obeisance to Maa Vindhyavasini Devi and inspected the corridor construction works and gave necessary instructions. He later reviewed the construction works of Maa Vindhyavasini State University, the cost of which has been sanctioned at Rs. 154.15 crore. He directed the District Magistrate to appoint nodal officers to conduct weekly reviews and check the quality of construction material.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister was informed that 101 colleges are affiliated to the university, which will benefit more than one lakh students. Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Anupriya Patel and other public representatives and senior officials were present on the occasion.
