CM Bhajan Lal Sharma addressed the nation in the 120th episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme on Sunday. CM Bhajan Lal Sharma also listened to the inspiring thoughts of the Prime Minister from the Chief Minister’s residence. Speaking on the occasion, the Prime Minister conveyed his best wishes for and the Indian New Year, as well as the various festivals being celebrated across the country between 13th and 15th April. He said that though these festivals are celebrated at different places, they reflect the unity in diversity of India.
Referring to the summer vacation of students after the exams are over, the Prime Minister stressed on developing their creativity. At the same time, underlining the importance of water conservation in the summer season, he called for connecting more and more people with the water harvesting public participation campaign. He appreciated the water conservation efforts being made through water recharge structures in different parts of the country.
Congratulating the winners of the Khelo India Para Games, the Prime Minister praised their perseverance, enthusiasm and talent. He shared his experiences of his visit to Mauritius and how various organisations are working for the preservation of Indian culture in different countries. Shri Modi lauded the initiative of recycling of non-perishable items as environment friendly.
Referring to the International Day of Yoga, the Prime Minister urged citizens to inculcate Yoga in their lives. He said that Yoga is a precious gift from India to the world, which will be of immense benefit to the coming generations. Along with this, he also underlined the growing global influence of Ayurveda.
CM Bhajan Lal Sharma said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi continues to inspire the countrymen through the ‘Mann Ki Baat “programme. His inspirational message infuses new energy in the mind. The programme also provides an insight into Indian culture and tradition as well as the extensive development work taking place in the country. The Chief Minister said that the Prime Minister has strengthened the unity and integrity of the nation and highlighted the importance of national unity and social harmony in his address in this episode.
