Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath said that success and failure are important aspects of life. Success depends on how much positivity and team spirit the work was started with. Late success is durable, while short-cut success is transient. He said that Live Times has made commendable progress in a short span of time and its launch in NCR was an important step.
CM Yogi was speaking after inaugurating the ‘LT Exchange’ programme in Lucknow. He said that Uttar Pradesh is the most populous state of the country and the heartland of India. It was the country’s leading economy in 1950, but before 2014 it was struggling with an identity crisis. Before 2017, the youth here were struggling to identify themselves.
Now the state’s economy is the second largest in the country, and the target is to make it a trillion-dollar economy by 2029. The government has worked to connect tribal communities with schemes. If the policy is clear and the intention is clear, then success is assured.
The state has 55% expressway network, UP is leading in the field of metro, rail, air connectivity and waterways. The state is leading in more than 45 schemes of the Centre.
He said that Swachh Bharat Mission has not only increased cleanliness but also enhanced the dignity of women. In 2017, the state government accelerated the mission and built 2.71 crore toilets in a year.
Sanitation in the state has led to a decline in diseases and diseases like encephalitis have almost been eliminated. Changes are taking place in every sector – farmers, youth, women and workers have got the benefit of the schemes.
The ‘One District One Product’ scheme has given a new identity to the traditional products of the state. This will increase employment and generate employment.
During the Corona period, Uttar Pradesh was the state that brought home the largest number of migrant workers and connected them with employment. The state government is working on a policy of zero tolerance towards crime and corruption, which has improved law and order.
The state has also made great progress in the tourism sector. More than 66 crore tourists visited the Mahakumbh in 2023-24 and this figure is likely to reach 100 crore in the entire state.
CM Yogi said that now Uttar Pradesh is emerging as the growth engine of the country. It has become a favourite state for investment. Proposals worth Rs 40 lakh crore were received at the Global Investors Summit 2023. The government is providing facilities to investors through technology.
