Madan Dilawar, Minister for Education (Vidyalaya / Sanskrit) and Panchayati Raj Department said that the Central and State Governments are committed to the development of nomadic, semi-nomadic, denotified castes. Education Minister Shri Dilawar was addressing the gathering at an interaction programme with the families of nomadic, semi-nomadic and deprived castes at SD Bihani Auditorium in Sriganganagar district on Sunday.
He said that the intention of the government is that every eligible nomadic family should get a house, for this, arrangements have been directed to give them land pattas. For these castes to settle permanently, arrangements will be made for land and residence. Hostels have also been started to provide education to the children of these families.
During the interaction programme, the members of the families of nomadic, semi-nomadic and deprived castes, including Luhar, Madari, Sansi, told about the difficulties in their lives and also expressed gratitude for the financial assistance given by the government in the Svanidhi scheme of Rs. 10-10 thousand.
