CM Bhajan Lal Sharma held a review meeting at the Chief Minister’s residence on Monday regarding the preparations for the proposed visit of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to Bikaner (May 22). He directed the officials to make all necessary arrangements for the proposed visit of the Prime Minister. He said that the concerned departments should work according to their fixed responsibilities and ensure successful organisation of the program by establishing coordination among themselves.
CM Bhajan Lal Sharma said that in view of the scorching heat, proper operation of all the arrangements including seating arrangement, drinking water, transportation for the general public at the venue should be ensured so that the public does not face any inconvenience. He directed the Bikaner Collector to ensure timely completion of all arrangements at the airport, helipad and venue of the meeting. He said that the Home Department should make proper arrangements like security passes, traffic management for the visitors while giving top priority to the security arrangements under the proposed visit of the Prime Minister.
Appoint a nodal officer in the concerned department
The Chief Minister said that all the concerned departments should appoint their nodal officers for the smooth functioning of the arrangements. CM Bhajan Lal Sharma directed the officers to have full coordination with the Prime Minister’s Office and Ministry of Railways. He also gave necessary directions to the departments of Public Health and Engineering, Tourism, Public Works, Information Technology and Communication and Information and Public Relations for the successful conduct of the proposed visit of the Prime Minister.
The Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of various projects.
It is noteworthy that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Modi, the Central Government has given top priority to the strengthening of railway stations in terms of passenger amenities. During the proposed programme in Bikaner, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the Amrit Bharat Deshnok Railway Station, flag off the Bikaner-Mumbai Express Train and lay the foundation stone and inaugurate various projects across the country. The Prime Minister will also visit the world famous Karni Mata Temple in Bikaner.
The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Sudhanshu Pant and senior officers of various departments.
