CM Mohan Yadav paid rich tributes to Bundelkhand’s legendary warrior Maharaja Chhatrasal, stating that he was a living embodiment of power, courage, and valor. Addressing the Maharaja Chhatrasal Jayanti celebrations in Mau Sahania village of Chhatarpur district, Dr. Yadav said, “This land of Bundelkhand is blessed with warriors and patriots, and it was on this sacred soil that Maharaja Chhatrasal was born. Today is a day of pride and valor for all of us.”
CM Mohan Yadav emphasized that Maharaja Chhatrasal’s battles were fought for national self-respect, and he bravely stood against the Mughal empire in adverse conditions, becoming a symbol of unmatched determination and bravery. “In that challenging era, Chhatrasal was a confluence of leadership, daring, and martial strength,” he said.
Drawing parallels with other national heroes, CM Mohan Yadav said, “Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Maharaja Chhatrasal, Rani Durgavati, Rani Avantibai, and Devi Ahilyabai Holkar are the pride of our nation. Their lives are a source of inspiration, and their ideals must reach the younger generation.” He announced that Maharaja Chhatrasal’s heroic legacy will be included in school and college curricula.
Highlighting regional development, CM Mohan Yadav nking Project, launched under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. He assured that the government is working to bring prosperity and happiness to farmers in the region.
CM Mohan Yadav inaugurated the three-day “Virasat Mahotsav” organized by the Maharaja Chhatrasal Memorial Research Institute in collaboration with the Department of Culture by lighting the ceremonial lamp and garlanding the statue of Maharaja Chhatrasal. He also released the commemorative booklet “Chhatrasal Darpan” and extended greetings on the occasion of Chhatrasal Jayanti.
The event was attended by Agriculture Minister and District In-charge Shri Edal Singh Kansana, Khajuraho MP Shri V.D. Sharma, MLAs Shri Kamakhya Pratap Singh (Maharajpur) and Smt. Lalita Yadav (Chhatarpur), District Panchayat Chairperson Smt. Vidya Agnihotri, Janpad Chairperson Smt. Hemlata Pathak, and several former ministers and local representatives.
